Shipping & Delivery Policy
This policy explains how grocery orders are delivered and how fulfillment works for the home-service and vehicle-rental services offered through Just Orders.
Business Name: Just Orders
Website: justorders.in
Operating Area: Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India
Effective Date: 14 August 2026
Last Updated: 14 August 2026
1. Overview
Just Orders is a local marketplace platform that connects customers with participating grocery vendors, home-service providers, vehicle rental providers, and delivery partners.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy primarily applies to physical grocery orders placed through the Just Orders platform.
Home services and vehicle rentals do not involve conventional shipping. Their fulfillment arrangements are described separately in this policy.
2. Delivery Area
Just Orders currently operates in selected areas of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India.
Grocery delivery is available only in areas where Just Orders has participating vendors and delivery coverage.
Delivery availability may vary depending on the customer's location, participating vendors, delivery-partner availability, operating conditions, and other factors.
The platform may expand or modify its delivery area as its operations develop.
3. Grocery Order Fulfillment
When a customer places a grocery order, the order is routed to a participating grocery vendor capable of fulfilling the order.
The vendor is responsible for preparing the ordered grocery items. Once the order is ready, an assigned Just Orders delivery partner collects the order from the vendor and delivers it to the customer.
Just Orders coordinates the delivery process between the vendor, delivery partner, and customer.
4. Delivery Schedule
Just Orders plans to operate regular delivery rounds during the day. Depending on the number of active delivery partners and operational requirements, delivery partners may make delivery rounds during the morning and evening.
Our current objective is for grocery orders to be fulfilled within one day of the order being placed.
The one-day fulfillment period is an operational target and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed delivery time.
Just Orders does not currently display a specific estimated delivery time on the application. Customers should therefore understand that the actual delivery time may vary depending on the circumstances affecting the order and delivery.
5. Delivery Delays
Delivery timelines are estimates and operational targets rather than guaranteed delivery times.
An order may take longer than expected because of circumstances including:
- Vendor preparation time.
- Product availability.
- Traffic or road conditions.
- Weather conditions.
- Delivery-partner availability.
- Unexpected increases in order volume.
- Technical or operational issues.
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
- Circumstances outside the reasonable control of Just Orders.
Just Orders will make reasonable efforts to coordinate delivery where delays occur, but cannot guarantee a particular delivery time.
6. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing an order.
Customers should ensure that the address is accessible to the delivery partner and that any relevant instructions needed to locate the delivery address are provided.
Incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery information may result in delivery delays or an unsuccessful delivery attempt.
7. Customer Availability
Customers should make reasonable efforts to be available to receive their grocery orders when the delivery partner arrives.
If a customer is unavailable, cannot be contacted, or the delivery partner cannot safely or reasonably complete the delivery, the delivery may be delayed or otherwise handled according to the circumstances of the order.
Because the specific procedure for an unsuccessful delivery attempt may depend on the circumstances, Just Orders may contact the customer or coordinate with the vendor or delivery partner to determine the appropriate next step.
8. Delivery Handover
Grocery orders are handed over to the customer or an authorized recipient at the delivery address provided with the order.
Customers should check the delivered order when receiving it and raise any concerns about missing, incorrect, or damaged items with Just Orders as soon as reasonably possible.
9. Missing, Incorrect, or Damaged Items
If an item is missing, incorrect, damaged, or otherwise does not correspond to the customer's order, the customer should contact Just Orders at:
Customers should provide the relevant order details and a description of the issue so that Just Orders can investigate the matter with the applicable vendor and delivery partner.
Any adjustment, replacement, or refund will be considered in accordance with the applicable circumstances and the Just Orders Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Reporting an issue does not automatically guarantee a refund, replacement, or other compensation.
10. Delivery Charges
Just Orders does not currently charge a separate delivery fee for grocery orders.
Just Orders may introduce delivery charges in the future. If a delivery charge applies, the applicable amount will be disclosed to the customer before the order is completed.
11. Product Availability and Substitutions
Grocery products are supplied by participating vendors and are subject to availability.
An item shown as available when an order is placed may subsequently become unavailable due to stock limitations or other circumstances.
Where an ordered item cannot be fulfilled, Just Orders or the applicable vendor may communicate the issue to the customer and determine the appropriate way to handle the affected item.
12. Weather, Traffic, and Other Circumstances
Shimla's terrain, weather, traffic, road conditions, and other local circumstances may affect delivery operations.
Just Orders may delay, reschedule, or otherwise modify a delivery where necessary to protect customers, vendors, delivery partners, or the public, or where delivery cannot reasonably be completed.
Such circumstances may include severe weather, road closures, traffic disruptions, government restrictions, safety conditions, technical failures, or other events outside the reasonable control of Just Orders.
13. Cancellation and Refunds
Customers currently cannot cancel grocery orders after placing them through the Just Orders platform.
Refunds are not generally available solely because a customer changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the expected delivery timing.
Where an order cannot be fulfilled because of a platform-side issue or another circumstance for which Just Orders determines that a refund is appropriate, the applicable transaction may be cancelled and a refund may be processed in accordance with the Just Orders Cancellation & Refund Policy.
For complete information, please review our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
14. Home-Service Fulfillment
Home-service bookings made through Just Orders are not shipped or delivered as physical goods.
For a home-service booking, the participating service provider receives the booking details, including the scheduled date, time, and service address, and travels to the customer's address to provide the booked service.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate service address and being reasonably available at the scheduled time.
Service availability and fulfillment may depend on the participating service provider and the circumstances of the booking.
15. Vehicle Rental Fulfillment
Vehicle rentals offered through Just Orders do not involve shipping or delivery of the rental vehicle to the customer.
After making a rental booking, the customer goes to the relevant rental provider to collect the vehicle at the agreed pickup location.
Customers may be required to present a valid driving licence, Aadhaar identification, or other documents required by the rental provider before the vehicle is handed over.
The applicable rental provider is responsible for the vehicle handover and may impose additional eligibility, verification, and rental requirements.
16. Customer Responsibilities
To help ensure successful fulfillment, customers are responsible for:
- Providing an accurate delivery or service address.
- Providing accurate contact information.
- Providing any delivery or access instructions necessary to complete fulfillment.
- Being reasonably available to receive a grocery delivery.
- Being available at the scheduled time for home-service bookings.
- Reaching the designated rental provider for vehicle collection.
- Providing documents required by a rental provider for vehicle handover.
17. Changes to Delivery Operations
Just Orders may modify its delivery schedules, delivery areas, delivery-partner arrangements, fulfillment procedures, or delivery charges as the platform and its operations develop.
Any applicable charges or material changes affecting an order will be communicated or displayed where appropriate before the customer completes the relevant transaction.
